My Ed and +Pay

WHAT IS IT FOR?

My Ed is a free parent app that gives you a multitude of communication and information features to help you stay in touch with what is going on at DGSB. The app gives you direct access to your child's attendance, absence records, school reports and much, much more. You will also see that we update and change the information in the app as the school year moves along.

It is the place to make payments for items such as school lunches via the section called +PAY.

HOW DO I LOG IN?

The My Ed app is available for both Apple iOS and Android devices and can be found using the links below:

Step 1 - Go to your app store

Step 2 - Search for My Ed

Step 3 - Download the free app

Or you can click on these links to go directly to your app store: Apple iOS App Store or Google Android App

Once you have installed and opened My Ed, search for Dover Grammar School for Boys and follow the simple instructions to identify yourself.

Registering with +Pay is very easy!

To access +Pay, within My Ed app, click on ‘My Students’ tab > Payments icon and follow the instructions to successfully connect to your child(ren). For help with the My Ed app, please follow this link: https://bit.ly/3QxehTI 

Please note: if you already have an account with ParentMail you will automatically connect without the need to register. We will inform you about items you need to pay through +Pay, and you will be able to pay electronically, using credit or debit cards as well as PayPal and PayPoint.

 

Class Charts

WHAT IS IT? This is a new and highly recommended service used by over one-thousand UK schools to help parents and students see progress and behaviour in lessons. Data from Class Charts builds towards milestone achievements and rewards for students.
HOW DO I LOG IN?

There are two main ways that both parents and students can use Class Charts.

– Easiest and most convenient way is an App on either Android or Apple phones

– The second method is to login through www.classcharts.com

Parents of new students receive their individual log in details (via email/taken home by their son/posted on MyEd) to allow them to log in.

 

Office 365

What is it? Office 365 offers online versions of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), is a place to store files online (using OneDrive) and subjects place their lessons and resources in class Teams for ease of access by students at any time through an internet connection. Office 365 works on tablets, smartphones, laptops and PCs. It works on any operating system that supports chromium web browsers (eg. Windows, MacOS, Linux).
How do i log in? Student user accounts and password reset are done in the first few Computing lessons. Student usernames for getting on the network in school have the format: Initial of first name, surname, 22. For example a Year 7 student called John Smith would have the username: jsmith22. Office 365 accounts are accessed using an email address that comprise of the username followed by ‘@dgsb.co.uk’. For example: jsmith22@dgsb.co.uk. Passwords are reset by students on first login. Students who forget their password should go directly to the IT Office on the first floor, located near the central stairwell. IT Services can be contacted on: ITS@dgsb.co.uk When signing in to Office 365 at home the best way is to open Google Chrome web browser and enter: office.com as a search in the address bar of the browser. On the Microsoft web page that opens click on the Sign In button.

 

Satchel: One

What is it? Satchel:one (formally known as: Show My Homework) is where all homework tasks are posted. It lists homework as either a calendar or on a student timetable. All this and grades recorded on satchel:one can be seen by parents as well as students. It is designed to help students to be organised with homework completion.
How do I log in? Office 365 is used to log in to satchel:one. One the satchel:one login screen (https://www.satchelone.com/login) and click on Student and lower down the web page locate and click on the Sign in with Office 365 button. Students access their satchel:one (Show My Homework) account using their Office 365 account. Students receive a printed copy of the login for their parents during tutor registration. This contains a PIN to access a satchel:one parent account
