DGSB Remembers

A Message to students and staff from Mr Horstrup:

As Friday morning was my first experience of Remembrance Day at DGSB, I just wanted to thank you all for what was a tremendously moving event. My particular thanks must go to Mr Rosier and Mrs Simes for their hard work in preparing the event, and to the students who read, sang and took part as members of our CCF. You all did a tremendous job.

I would also like to add that I was incredibly impressed by - and very proud of - the way in which every student observed the formality of the occasion with the respect and solemnity that it deserves; it speaks volumes for our school and for everybody who works within it, that such a large number of people can come together and remember the service of others in such a respectful manner. As your Headteacher, I feel privileged to lead a school where events such as this are observed in such a wonderful way - thank you.
